Capello for the England Job

I spent days wondering why anyone in their right mind would take on a role as ill-fated and under-appreciated as the England job; and then I saw his pay deal!


He is on a 4 1/2 year contract, and will get 4 million pounds every year! Doesn't that mean he will have earnt millions and millions before his first competitive game!?! I think the problems are with the players' attitudes, and that paying managers more and more money won't get us anywhere!

i dont like capello he cant manage big players with big ego so how on earth is he going to manage England ?

I completely disagree!! He's managed plenty of Big time Charlies and he doesnt stand for any sh*t - the fact he's fell out with Del Piero, Totti and Beckham is a good thing in my eyes - he's not afraid of dropping a BIG name if they're not playing well enough!

there wasnt anybody with a CV as good as Capello - in my eyes they've got a cracking manager!

One thing is true, there is no better manager for the England team - the only question is - is anyone good enough to bring us success?

I like Beckham, he's good and people say he isn't are so horribly wrong because he gets so many assists and is just an influence.

With capello we will win things BUT we will play the worst international football in the world. Boring and slow will be our game plan which i don't like to see, i say we win a few things with him, sack him then get a good footballing manager.

Not being funny mate, but cast your mind back to our performances in the last world cup and in this qualifying campaign - we were the most boring side anyway!! 1 dimensional, no plan B and no direction!!

Mourinho won ugly, Cappello does the same - who cares if we dont play champagne football??

Never said we weren't boring, we are English we invented the game and have our own style that foreigners can't cope against. Fast, high paced, hard tackling, attacking, 4-4-2 football is what we traditionally play but we don't have managers capable of organizing an attack successfully.

Heck i would rather we won the would cup playing o.k. football thatn lose playing attacking but i just don't won't capello to go too over the top and just defend then counter attack in the last few minutes like Germany used to do.
