Derbyshire cricket on the up

I don't know how interested in cricket you lot are, but things seem to be looking up for us in the cricket as we have just signed the sri lankan captain (I would put his name but can't spell it). He is our 5th signing and a very good one at that, along with the other 4, i sense promoton next year!

I aint really got muchtime for CRICKET... it bores me to tears, but must admit that the signings we have made early doors look quite impressive

I always have a nosey at whats going on in the DET and yes from what i have saw/read we have signed some quality players. Rikki Clarke is an England International although he hasnt been involved much recently. And the two overseas players.... Mihala Jayawardene and the West Indian Hinds are very impressive. Jayawardene is in top 3 batsmen in the world, hes a crackin player. Hinds from what i have heard is a big hitter who can score heavily. And then their is Nayan Doshi, a spinner with experience who has played at the highest level and comes with a reputation, and also John Sadler from local rivals Leicestershire who was one of their best players but turned down an improved contract from them to come to us which is nice
