He had a serious broken foot injury and it takes time to come back to full fitness from a broken foot, afterall they are what you use to play the game! There were signs at St James Park that he may be starting to flow again which is brillient news.

Mossy use ur grey matter, if he stays he will be worth half of what he is now when we go down, so 2 to 2.5 million for him is not good buisness 5 million for an unproven talent is top buisness, and will buy us 2 to 3 established prem old boys with a chance of keeping us up, then we can build from there. OK i don't and never have rated him, he is not consistant enough for me, would much prefer a hard workin grafter then a inconsistant showboater.... bring on GARY SPEED... cuz mark my words he will be with us by end of JAN 08

Shame Gary Speed has signed for Sheff United on loan, with a view to buy.

I think Barnes HAS the potential and is a good player BUT needs to stop being such an arrogant person. I thought his celebration when he scored against Newcastle made him look like an idiot.

Ok but i just dont want to see us as a selling club AGAIN!! I dont think whoever we sign will keep us up now i really dont, it will be a gamble to sell Barnsey and bring in a couple of premiership quality players in because even that might not save us and then we will have sold our best young player who has bright future in the game which somebody else will take advantage of I am not a fan of selling your youngsters full stop. Look at Spurs now and Huddlestone, they have benefited and took advantage of us selling our best young players and is pi**es me right off!!! The same will happen to Barnsey if he goes mark my words!! I would see your point if we were a mid-table side and were in no fear of relegation but we are miles off safety now and its going to take a miracle to save us so even if we sell him and buy a couple of quality players with it, even that is highly unlikely to save us so we have to keep him as he is the future of our club.... surely you can see my point guys ???
